what Are people saying about OUR TRAINING PROGRAMS?

"Throughout my baseball career, I’ve been around dozens of strength coaches at the high school, Division-1 and professional level. The mark of a good coach is someone who is fully invested in each and every one of his athletes, and who constantly adjusts and adapts his methods both based on the latest research and on an individual basis. Andrew is one of the few I’ve met who fits the bill.

Andrew understands the intricacies involved in creating an optimal training approach for each athlete, taking into account the sport, position, mobility assessment, training and injury history of the individual. As a strength coach and pro athlete myself, I fully appreciate the expertise that he brings to the table.

For athletes with the desire and the passion to truly improve themselves, Andrew is more than a coach, he is a mentor, and is one of the genuine, unsung experts in his field."

-Ben Brewster : Chicago White Sox

Coach Sacks' training program is unlike any other. Throughout my life as an athlete I have had various, serious injuries and struggled to effectively train while also recovering. I began training with Andrew during my junior year softball season and I saw almost instant improvement in both my shoulder and back problems because he made them our primary focus. From there his program has improved my strength in literally every area possible and I have watched as the people around me make the same progress as well. If you are willing to put in the work, this program will not only drastically improve your overall strength and performance but also impact your confidence and work ethic. Coach Sacks has effectively prepared me to play Division 1 softball both in the weight room and on the field.

Training at PSP for the last several years has developed my game to a point I never thought I would reach. Every trainer is there to help you reach your fullest potential, from the throwing academy with Coach Ron and JP to lifting with Coach Andrew, James, and Brandon. I truly believe these trainers are the best in Maryland and I would not be where I am today without them

-James Gladden: University of Maryland Baseball

I have been working with Andrew for the past off season and focusing on strength training.  After offseason workouts,   I started my high school season at Eastern Tech.  This season, I noticed an increase in my pitching velocity and more movement on my pitches.  I also hit the ball harder than I ever have before and I experienced less soreness as I was well conditioned.  Andrew put together an awesome workout program for me and I really enjoyed coming in to work with him!  He is an amazing coach who knows what he’s talking about and knows how to make workouts fun!

-Jordan Cargile: 2013 Baltimore Sun Softball Player of the Year; University of Delaware

I have been working with Andrew for about 3 years now. I’m a rising junior in high school, and I owe most of my success to Andrew, who has been with me every step of the way helping me make both varsity football and baseball as a sophomore. I started working with Andrew in 8th grade, so I could go into high school knowing what and how to lift with the football program. Ever since that day I have been working with him and have some of the highest maxes for my football team for my size. We have been working on my speed quite a bit lately and in my combine numbers you can see a steady improvement in my times. Before you do anything with Andrew he makes sure you know the science behind each exercise, and is very patient with you in order to make sure you use proper form. If you are an athlete looking to become the best you can be and reach your goals, I suggest seeing this man in the near future.

Andrew Sacks is hands down THE BEST strength and conditioning coach for baseball players in Maryland, and that is why I love going to him. Everything he does is focused on maintaining your strengths, as well as building up weaknesses to maximize your power, speed, agility, and explosiveness while playing the game of baseball. My experience with Andrew has been amazing. I came to him because I was in need of off-season training before my senior year of high school baseball began. Because Andrew was one of my high school baseball coaches at John Carroll, he knew that I was committed to play D1 baseball at The University of Arizona and that multiple MLB teams had interest in me for the upcoming 2018 MLB draft. Due to the fact I was getting looked at by professional teams, he knew that it was very important for me to have a successful senior year in order for me to potentially achieve my life-long dream of becoming a professional baseball player. Andrew took me through the evaluation process and created a personalized lift for me, while keeping in mind that I was still playing in tournaments, attending pro workouts, and other showcases. His dedication to making me better allowed for my most successful high school baseball season. I batted over .500, had 7HR, and 35 RBI's. I was constantly getting comments from coaches, scouts, and my advisor that I looked more agile, stronger, and faster than the last time they saw me. Andrew is the reason that I was able to accomplish so much my senior year, and I will continue to use his services as I further my career in baseball. If you are looking for someone who will maximize your potential physically, Andrew Sacks is the man for the job.

- Ryan Archibald: University of Arizona

Andrew’s knowledge of lifting is way beyond his years. He is perfecting the way athletes should lift based on not only their sport, but of the position they play within the sport. Andrew designed a program for me that catered to my specific needs as a D1 pitcher. Within weeks, I was able to see results. Every week my front squat was increasing by at least 10lbs. and my deadlift was jumping 15-20lbs. as well. While I was getting stronger, I was also getting more flexible. Andrew focused a lot on my hip and shoulder flexibility and this was a key factor in gaining strength and preventing injuries throughout the season. During my Senior season at Virginia Tech, I reached another goal of mine, throwing a baseball 95mph. I cannot thank Andrew enough for helping me with all of my success, and I will continue to work with him to reach more goals that I have set for myself.

-Brad Markey: Chicago Cubs

I worked with Andrew to address some of the deficiencies I developed after having a major shoulder surgery. He was extremely conscious of the limitations I had while continually pushing me to become stronger, more explosive, and more efficient in my movements and delivery. After working with him my body feels completely different and ready to get back to performing at a high level. Andrew is extremely knowledgeable about current schools of thought surrounding baseball training and has taken the time to develop his own opinions and reasoning about what actually works. He's a great motivator, but isn't overly intense or unreasonable, allowing athletes to get what they give from his programs. I would highly recommend working with Andrew to baseball players of all skill levels. If you aren't training the way Andrew trains his athletes, you're not maximizing your potential.

- Gabe Cramer: Kansas City Royals; WBC Team Israel

Andrew Sacks is the best Strength and Conditioning coach around.  I have been working with Andrew since 2012 and I would not be where I am today without Andrew's expertise.  I went from an 83 mph pitcher in high school to a 90 mph pitcher in college from working with Andrew.  When I got injured and needed shoulder surgery my sophomore year of college, Andrew was there every step of the way through my recovery and got me back to where I needed to be to compete at a high level the next season, with my fastball velocity getting back up to 91.5 during the offseason. His knowledge and care for his athletes is unmatched.

PSP is the best thing that has ever happened to my baseball career. Coming into my senior summer I was just hoping for a miracle being able to walk on to a Division 1 program at Lafayette College after getting no offers out of high school. Going into that summer I was sitting upper 70's off the mound, maybe touching 81 or 82. Andrew put me to work and knew exactly what he was doing with me. Every athlete has a unique experience with him, and he knows that each athlete needs their own program. I was not nearly as strong as the other players my age heading into that summer, and Andrew made it fun for me to get better in the weight room and on the field. By the end of the summer I had gotten significantly stronger, and was able to walk on to the baseball team at Lafayette. By the spring I was sitting 87-89 touching 90 on my fastball and became the team's closer. Even in the last two months since I have come back from school Andrew has gotten me even stronger and more consistent, helping me make the Cal Ripken Collegiate League All Star Game. My progression as an athlete and a pitcher was unlike anything I could have ever imagined, from the almost 10 mph I gained in my velocity, to my significant strength improvement, and everything in between. Andrew is one of the most significant people that have helped me get to where I am today. If you are looking for an individualized, personal, fun training experience and the best way to get better as a person, athlete, and individual, PSP is the way to go..

I was always skeptical of going to an athletic trainer because of my heart disease (my condition limits me to only lifting half my body weight). However, I can truly say going into training with Andrew Sacks was one of the best decisions I made relative to my athletic career. He created a custom program for me addressing my heart problem. I went into training with Andrew with little knowledge about strength conditioning and weight training. Andrew was extremely patient with me and taught me all the exercises I needed to know. He was a great instructor and pushed me to new limits. As a result I have seen excellent results.  When I started my training I was looking to make the Varsity baseball team at my high school. I was a pitcher throwing 75-78 mph with below average leg strength. My broad jump was 6’9” and my vertical was 19 inches. Andrew helped me accomplish my goal of making the Varsity baseball team by working on my weaknesses. Going into my senior year my broad jump increased to 8’11” and my vertical to 27 inches. However the greatest result was my pitching velocity. In my first pitching appearance of my senior year I was sitting at 84 mph, and was able to hit 90 mph from a crow hop. During the season he would take the time and constantly check up on me and give me advice. I am truly happy with the results and I recommend everyone to come and train with Andrew.

-Zack Glover: McDaniel College

When Parker started training with Andrew in November, I said, "get him ready for the PG Northeast showcase Feb 25th.  Andrew worked with Parker 3x per week every week until the event, and the results from the training program were outstanding, All categories of training improved dramatically and it all showed at the showcase. Parker was strong, quick, and confident.  He had a great event.  His arm strength from the outfield was 85 mph, his exit velocity was 92 MPH with a wood bat, his pop time from behind the dish was 1.91., and he ran  a 4.99 40 yard dash from a lead off position.  He is now nationally ranked  in his class of 2019 by Perfect Game, and was invited to the  PG Junior National. I would recommend this program to anybody that  is serious about wanting to get stronger, faster, better.

When I first met Coach Sacks it was clear that he pays attention to detail. in my first month, I heard him correct and tell me to "brace my core" about a thousand times. Over the first summer with him, I quickly learned he was one I could trust and one that wanted to see me succeed. He is always there to ask if I need anything or what he can do for me in order to get the best out of me. Each of his programs is designed to meet the needs of each athlete and help them grow in all aspects of their game. He takes great pride in the knowledge he has about strength and conditioning, and I can always count on him him to answer my frequent questions about exercises, show me the proper form, and explain the importance of each exercise. I can say without a doubt that I would not be committed to a top D3 softball program or be the athlete I am today without Coach Sacks' help.

- Jules Donnelly: Christoper Newport University

PSP is hands down the place to be for anyone looking to move better, get stronger, and flat out become a better athlete. You will not find another guy that cares about his athletes and their development like Coach Sacks does. He individualizes programs and understands that each athlete has different needs which is personally why I have enjoyed working with him. I came to him in the fall of my sophomore year and have been with him ever since then. I immediately saw an increase in strength and explosiveness within the first few weeks of training. He spent a lot of time with me working on mechanics and really helped me to sequence my body to move more efficiently. Through three years of training I have increased my deadlift by 250 pounds, my reverse lunge by over 200 pounds, and dropped my 60 yard dash by over a entire second while drastically increasing power and throwing velocity. Along with this I have lowered my body fat and increased muscle mass. All of this has led to me reaching my goal of playing college baseball. If you’re looking to maximize your athletic potential and perform at the highest level Coach Andrew is the man for the job.
